SAHRA

SAHRA is an independent restaurant concept developed for an existing 434m² ground-floor shell within Sky Spiral Tower, Dubai. The project transforms the monumental 6.7-metre-high glazed volume into a luxury dining experience, bringing together interior architecture, FF&E, lighting, brand identity and digital design.

The concept began with the sensation of biting into a sweet, particularly the contrast of rhubarb and custard. The sour became champagne: crisp metallic details, polished edges and moments of light. The sweet became pink: blush stone, aubergine, velvet and experimental florals representing fragrance, youthfulness and pleasure. I wanted the interior to feel almost edible, layered, glossy and deliberately indulgent.

That tension runs throughout SAHRA: monumental stone against soft upholstery, dark marble against blush, and the vast architectural shell against intimate moments beneath the suspended Loom. Stone, water, bloom and light become a sensory language carried through the interior, furniture, identity and guest experience, a restaurant imagined through contrasts of sharp and soft, monumental and intimate, sour and sweet.
