Artwork

The Barber Shop

For my A Level Art Project, I painted The Barber Shop, an oil painting on canvas: 30 × 40 inches. This painting represents Caribbean ideals of perfection, using a barber shop in South Norwood, London as the figure. This painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art in 2022, for their Summer Show.

Cinders

For my A Level Art Project, I painted Cinders an acrylic and oil painting on canvas: 1m x 70cm. This painting represents feminine Caribbean ideals of perfection, while symbolising the story of Cinderella. This painting was exhibited at the Royal College of Arts, in 2022, also winning first place at the Young Art Awards.

Ballerina’s Melody

Ballerina’s Melody looks to represent the urban culture in New Orleans. With music and diversity fluctuating in one, I wanted to represent that culture. This is an acrylic painting completed outside my studies.

Siesta In Venice

Siesta in Venice is an 24 × 30 inch acrylic panting, reflecting the slumber over lockdown, 2020. It depicts the era in a new way, symbolising the idea of stillness, silence and rest, while waiting for the lockdown to be over.

Hiding In Harmony

Hiding in Harmony is an A3 sized acrylic panting, also reflecting the slumber over lockdown, 2020. It depicts the era in a new way, symbolising the notion of concealment, waiting, and patience all while being still.
