“Transforming heritage into contemporary workplace”

Brook Street

Acquired in January 2023 for £437.6 million, the former Fenwick Department Store on New Bond Street is currently undergoing a major transformation into a high-end office and retail development. Working alongside Studio29, and Foster + Partners, the redevelopment aims to retain the character and heritage of Bond Street while introducing a contemporary and sustainable approach to the building.

In June 2025, international law firm McDermott Will & Emery secured a 15-year lease for the development’s entire 115,000 sq ft of office space, spanning the second to ninth floors. Following its merger with Schulte Roth & Zabel, the newly formed McDermott Will & Schulte is expected to relocate its UK headquarters to The Lazari Building in 2028.C

Lower Ground Floor Lounge

The lower ground floor was conceived as an informal lounge for both clients and staff, reimagining the traditional legal workplace through spaces for relaxation and social interaction. My contribution focused on developing the lighting strategy, exploring layered illumination, programmable scenes and integrated LED systems to create a warm, adaptable environment throughout the day.
